My Fur Kid, Moo Moo

I have a fur kid. Her name is Moo Moo, a female Jack Russell Terrier and she will be two this April.
I bought her from a pet shop when she was 3 months old, and didn't know she had a deformed hip bone (upon an X-Ray) until when she was in her 5th month. At that time, she was constantly running and walking on only 3 legs. The affected leg could not be folded in like the other hind legs, and she never lie on the side of her deformed hip bone.
Due to the deformity, she is very insecure. She doesn't trust people easily. When you call her, she will run away or ignore you. She barks a lot when there are stranger near our house or when she hears strange noises. So, it has taken us quite a long time to train her, and for us to gain her trust to reassure her and calm her down.
Ever since I had her, I put her on a vegetarian diet. YES, she is a vegetarian dog! I was being questioned by many other dog lovers who were shocked and they all shook their heads, telling me that dogs can never be vegetarian, because they belong to the family of wolf which has sharp teeth meant for tearing meat. They have to be carnivorous in order to survive, and especially mine which is a hyper breed! They said she would be anemic, undeveloped, malnutritious etc. And when I told them I give Moo Moo avocado and grapes, they told me off, saying that both are very poisonous to their intestines.
I have never doubted Ray¡¦s advice for Moo Moo. I can see all her nutritional needs being taken care of. I still continue to feed her grapes as a snack, and that happens to be her big time favorite! And on her own, she will look for where the sun comes in to the house and sun-bathe everyday, especially on her deformed hip.
I find it ironic that for those pet lovers who feed their fur kids with commercial feed and tell me that I am wrong, their fur kids always have skin disease, tick and flea problems, grass allergy etc. They have to make countless visits to the vet for more cream or antibiotics for temporary cures, and go through endless guessing of what went wrong. As for Moo Moo, she does not even visit the vet for yearly jab. And if she has skin irritation, I will put her on a fruit diet. I shower her with Dr Bronner¡¦s soap and bring her to the seaside for a swim frequently.
I see Moo Moo is improving day by day with all the good care I have given her. She is getting happier, and she is now able to walk on 4 legs, a big improvement compared to before when she can't help but only limp.
Below is a recipe from Ray, and Moo Moo takes it almost daily. I only let her have some vegetarian dog food on weekends.
Furkid recipe (small to medium size dog)
1 Raw Egg
Half Tofu
Quarter
of an Avocado
1 Potato (boiled)
1 teaspoon Olive Oil
1 teaspoon Flax Seed (grind to powder)
1 teaspoon Nutritional Yeast
1 ear of Corn Kernel (must blend, dog can't digest corn & peas)
Method: Blend avocado & corn kernel with boiled potato and all the rest ingredients.
P.S. From Moo Moo ¡§I am enjoying the respect humans have for me.¡¨
