WHY DO THE MEDICAL FOLKS NOT EMPHASIZE GOOD NUTRITION?
By Ray

1          Those who have faith in the medical industry will, unfortunately, accept their perspective on nutrition. The purpose of this writing is not to re-hash what we said before, and from that point of view, we need to re-look at this scenario, because it is causing untold pain and suffering, and premature death.

2          The medical folks do their best to make sure that patients have, according to their expertise, ¡§good and proper nourishment¡¨. It is amazing that in the middle of mind-blowing accomplishments, the world has gone from a model T to a Lexus, from the Wright brothers to a 500-passenger jet with restaurants and bars, the body has been internally explored with cameras and x-rays, and we have electronic spies on Mars looking for life, but at the same time, we have filled our minds with world-class chefs, their books and TV studios with lifeless food, and there is an epidemic of suffering, basically caused by starvation. This is the outrage, another example of brilliant stupidity.

3          The world expects the best nourishment from a profession who directs robots to do brain-surgery, as well as, create multiple births in a woman in her 60s. The medical industry is presently boasting of another woman giving birth to 8 babies, 9 weeks premature. We have world-renowned clinics such as the Mayo and Scripps, we see food advertised in various magazines, and we are led to believe, that the experts agreed with the nourishment content, and the public say to themselves, ¡§Surely, they wouldn¡¦t allow dangerous food to be consumed.¡¨ But that¡¦s exactly what¡¦s happening. We live our lives in anticipation of some disease, and whether or not we get a disorder is relegated to ¡§good or bad luck¡¨.

4          This scenario is extremely dangerous. Food companies are creating and altering the material that caters to our perverted taste. An unsuspecting public is led to believe that the food is approved by the authority of the medical industry.

5          We are presently witnessing a small, but ever increasing percentage of the public determined to acquire and maintain good health. They are, however, in a major struggle, having to sort through the agendas of books and fast talkers in the world of ¡§alternatives¡¨. Some are drinking wheatgrass juice, while others boast of their vegan ways, without understanding the true meaning of ¡§veganism¡¨ . And then, there are the seekers of spiritual enlightenment .

6          Our Place International is promoting basic and legitimate self-care of the body. We will continue to present our website free in as many languages as we can. We recognize that the human organism truly is the most evolved cellular mechanism on earth. It requires the very best ¡§no-guilt¡¨ food. The Bible, the book of Buddha, and the Bhagavad-Gita all sing the same song about not eating meat. Vegetarianism is a major tenet of their teachings. However, the Buddhists, even though they are vegetarian, pay no attention to the care of the body. And the biggest proof that all this is right, is us. When we acquire and remain in vibrant health, as well as, understand the process that undoes all that is wrong, this allows our recovery from the insane way we live.

7          I have known about this for about 40 years, and in the early days, I struggle with food. Now, we are witnessing the rampant international dis-ease of addiction, but no one ever suspected that food is an addiction. I fully understand that food is the biggest addiction of all. Many times, I have observed a photograph of a person craving heroine, and a person craving their favorite junk food. Their similarities are startling. We must finally realize that the body is a great instrument and must be treated accordingly.

8          So, while we have the finest medical complex on earth, yet a visit to hospital cafeteria shows a complete ignorance about nourishment. I had the occasion over a 2-month period with 2 different persons with separate problems being hospitalized. I visited the cafeteria of both hospitals, and the food was the same --- TERRIBLE . It was prepared and seasoned to satisfy our altered taste.

9          IF WE CRAVE FOOD THAT IS NOT NOURISHING US, WE ARE ADDICTED. This is difficult to understand, after all, addictions such as alcohol, tobacco, sex are mentioned, but never ¡§food addiction¡¨. We are used to the popular breakfast of eggs, bacons, toast, coffee, pancakes, pasteurized juices, donut, bagel, soft drinks. Then, for the 10 o¡¦clock break, coffee, donut, soft drinks. Lunch is sandwich on white or fake brown bread, hamburgers, pizza, cured meat, coffee, soft drinks, salt, chilies, and some form of dessert. Dinner is some kind of meat, seasoned, bread and butter and unexciting salad, drown in awful dressing. All meals abuse the body, and are followed with flatulence and upset stomach, and the sufferer takes a variety of over-the-counter pills. Now, the latest medical breakthrough is that a microbe causes obesity.

10        The body uses up to 80% of its energy to process mostly indigestible material. It perpetually operates at this negative level, and we live our lives in these circumstances. In some case, it takes 80 or 90 years for the life to be exhausted. This deteriorating condition is called ¡§our dying process¡¨, and the public accepts this as ¡§normal¡¨.

11        During our life, the body constantly reacts to the abuse, through infection, skin outbreak, ache, pain, and stiffness. These honest reactions are referred to as ¡§symptoms¡¨, and are misinterpreted by the medical industry as an attack on the body, created either by a germ or a wayward gene. They use profound and dangerous treatments to stop this very important process and they will enjoy the recognition in medical journals. The disease they treat will join the ranks of ¡§treatable conditions¡¨ and the suffering continues, and the body¡¦s wonderful ability to prevent disorders is assaulted and never recognized.

12        In conclusion, don¡¦t wait for this enormous profit-making industry to apologize for the biggest blunder, in human history, because it will not come. The only power we have is to reclaim our health, and that¡¦s the example humanity is waiting for. Medical industry will not easily change, because this is where their vested interest lies. Change will not come until the waiting rooms of this industry are empty, and their greed is replaced by our good sense.

13        And finally, realize that we have lost our instinctual wisdom even before the maximum range of our great memory. For e.g., when an animal breaks a leg or suffers from some loss of function, appetite is automatically suspended and more sunshine is desired. BUT WHEN WE HAVE A DISORDER, WE EAT IN EXCESS AND WE HAVE BEEN INDOCTRINATED TO BELIEVE THAT THE SUN CAUSES CANCER. Our instinctual wisdom has been squandered in favor of the guesswork we call ¡§intelligence¡¨. We at Our Place believe that humans have the answer on a cellular level, and through the circumstances of fasting, together with a desire to get better, all truth will be revealed.

P.S. This is what came out of the mind of one of the most brilliant ancestors of U.S. :-
¡§The disgrace of medicine has been that colossal system of self deception, in obedience to which mines have been emptied of their cankering minerals, the entrails of animals taken for their impurities, the poison bags of reptiles drained of their venom and all the inconceivable absurdities thus obtained thrust down the throats of human beings suffering from some want of organization, nourishment and love.¡¨~ Oliver Wendell Holmes, M.D. (Associate Justice, U.S. Supreme Court, 1902 ¡V 1932)

All the very best,

The intention of the vegan concept is indeed noble. Many take on the identity of ¡§veganism¡¨ without understanding its true meaning. Veganism means not to abuse any life, especially the life that wears the label.

And as we have said in previous writings, ¡§Spirituality as we know it does not exist.¡¨

Within 2 months, I had a young person in ICU with epilepsy and an older person with a broken hip. They were served horrible food (supervised by a clinical nutritionist), such as scramble eggs, hash brown, pasteurized juice, deep fried chicken, bread and pastry, coffee and milk. We prepared nourishing food for both, and the staff and doctors were amazed with their rapid recovery.
