Q. How much water should we drink? And what kind of water --- distilled, or just the usual boiled tap water? A. Whatever you do, change your diet. Your diet is fruits and veggies and if the diet is correct, there would be plenty of water and your system will always be re-hydrated. Because we eat a thirsty-producing diet, we demand so much water. In the US, you are in some cases, offered a half-gallon of water when each meal is ordered. This is because the food is hot and spicy with a large amount of bread and butter, resulting in constipation and/or the sluggishness as it moves through the system. Hence, the doctors who rely on this recommend 8 - 10 glasses of water due to our poor diet. I saw two medical doctors being interviewed on TV, discussing the origins of this advice. No one knew where it originated and both agreed that it was bad advice. Drinking the recommended amount of water daily, it interferes with digestion. This is because the water leaves the body in approximately half and hour, carrying the precious digestive juices with it, resulting in partial digestion which will lead to fermentation, putrefaction and generally slowing down the digestive process. This is certainly a waste of the body's energy, a waste of water, a waste of money and food. And finally, in light of all the predictors of the world, the future wars will be fought over water. Nothing can substitute a good diet of raw fruits and veggies. The people who recommend so much water have done enough damage! We recommend pure water. The best is distilled or purified. Drinking tap water in most cases is wrong, and it tastes worse than the water going through the kidneys first! The thirst, it seems, is an honest reaction that we can rely on. Part of our return to a natural state is to respect and satisfy these natural urges. If a mouthful satisfies, then a mouthful it is, if a sip satisfies, then a sip it is, but don't follow these experts who say we need 8 ¡V 10 glasses a day. Remember that if your diet is fruits and veggies, then the sensation of thirst will almost be non-existent. And if your diet is the regular diet, you would be overheated and thirst will be more frequent. We have to learn to honor our thirst because it is an honest reaction and not follow the general advice of drinking 8 ¡V10 glasses of water a day.
