Q. It was nice to see Whole Foods become mainstream. They are not a hard and fast health food store and they even sell meat and fish. Why are they compromising?

A: My first visit to Whole Foods was about approximately 30 years ago. I found a superior health food store run by a conscious owner, John Mackey. Their buffet was memorable for sure. What attracted me was the consciousness of Mackey and the relationship they have with their employees.

Yes, they sold things that the purest will reject, but what must be considered is that Whole Foods supply the needs of each seeker and there are many seeking in different ways. I remembered when I first stopped eating beef and two years later, I stopped eating all meat and that was 41 years ago. I shopped at many stores to fulfill my needs, now we have it under one roof and there, we can meet each other.

I have never invested in any stock because I did not want to deal with the greed and deception, but I was drawn to Whole Foods and now with the massive desire to be healthy all over the world, I wanted to invest in that. Whole foods have stood the test of time and it is only a matter of time that they will be felt all over the world. The integrity of Whole Foods is a winner and the world will have its general store.

All the very best,
Ray
