Observation No. 12 (On Fertility)

BBC reports on 15 Oct 06 that "a Japanese woman in her 50s gave birth to her own grandchild last year, using an egg from her daughter and sperm from her son-in-law." She agreed to be a surrogate mother because her daughter cannot conceive as she had her uterus removed due to cancer.

It reminds me that what Ray says about "the sins of the parents descending on the children". This is not an abstract metaphysical issue, but is happening all around us. The generations of children should give birth to generations of healthier and more enlightened children --- this is the law. But what we see here clearly is not human evolution but evidence of our decline. The voice of nature is ignored again. Farming out (going to fertility clinics) the manufacture of our children dangerously transcend the true principles of procreation.
